Art Workshop, Coral Reef, Acrylic and Texture on Canvas @ Visual Art Center of Punta Gorda

Bring the Gulf to life on canvas! 🌊

In this hands-on workshop at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, you’ll paint a dimensional coral reef on a 12×4″ canvas using acrylic paint and texture medium. Build up raised, sculptural coral formations, then layer in deep ocean blues, bright reef colors, and little schools of fish swimming through the scene.

What you’ll learn:

• The basics of working with acrylic paint and texture medium
• Color mixing and color theory
• Composition and how to arrange a scene
• Drawing fundamentals to plan your reef

All artistic levels are welcome, and this class is a great fit for first-time painters. You’ll go home with a finished, ready-to-hang original piece.
